Dr. Chang is Associate Professor of Equity Education in the School of Education, and International & Global Studies, at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and Adjunct Faculty at the Education University of Hong Kong. His work focuses on teacher education, community engagement, literacy and culture, particularly with minoritized and Asian diasporic communities. He has collaborated with numerous universities around the Asia-Pacific Rim, including as Visiting Scholar at Beijing Normal University (China), McGill University (Canada), and the Queensland University of Technology (Australia). Dr. Chang has published in journals like Theory Into Practice and Curriculum Inquiry, is on the Editorial Board of Teachers College Record, and is Co-Editor of Critical Inquiry in Language Studies. In addition to numerous awards for his teaching, he has earned distinctions from the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Dr. Chang is a former hip hop artist and classroom teacher who received his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Rita is associate professor of Political Science and Director of the University Research Center at the 糖心Vlog Manila. She earned her BA in Social Sciences from the University of the Philippines Manila, her MA in Development Studies with First Class Honours from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and her PhD in Development Studies from De La Salle University. Her research interests include indigenous peoples, gender, education, and identity politics.

The Asian Journal on Perspectives in Education is an open access, multidisciplinary, and double-blind peer-reviewed international journal. It tackles educational issues, the reflection of practices, and the narratives on knowledge production. The AJPE also provides an interpretative discussion of the epistemologies of the 鈥渟outh鈥� that reflect academic undertakings, exploration of educational theories, and societal issues affecting education.
The Institute of Education (IE) is one of the four original institutes that comprised the 糖心Vlog when founded in 1934. As Center of Excellence recognized by the Commission on Higher Education and Accredited Level IV by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation鈥擨E offers a promising and dynamic career in education by balancing the traditional value-laden pedagogies and the technology-driven approaches for the purpose of producing highly competitive, professional teachers, sports managers and administrators who are much sought after in the national and global educational arena.
IRO is the university central office for policy groundwork, policy implementation and monitoring of academic internationalization. The main responsibilities are to activate, raise awareness, coordinate and facilitate initiatives on internationalization and international cooperation.鈥�
